Concrete pumping at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City
Right on Beswick’s doorstep — we headed to the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, to supply and pump the concrete for a large hot tub base. Not a bad address for a day’s work.
It was volumetric-mixed fresh on site and placed with a line pump, feeding it neatly into the fenced work area set back from where the wagon could park.
Beswick borders the Etihad campus, and a lot of the work round here is on tight, fenced-off sites where a wagon can’t get a clear run at the pour. That’s where a line pump earns its place — it stands off and feeds the concrete over and around the obstacles to land it precisely, as it did for the hot-tub base at the stadium.
