Concrete Pumping in Manchester

Manchester, Greater Manchester

We pump concrete into the spots a wagon can’t reach right across Manchester — basements, over railway tracks and tight city-centre sites, working nights and out-of-hours when a site can’t stop. Two recent Manchester jobs:

Overnight rail pour

Overnight pour for railway safety fencing, Manchester Victoria

We supplied the concrete for all the new safety fencing running along the side of the railway at Manchester Victoria station. With trains in and out of the station throughout the day, the work had to be done overnight — so the pour went in at night, with no disruption to services.

Our team moved the kit through the station and got the concrete in along the trackside for the new fencing line. Night and out-of-hours work like this is all part of the service when a site can’t stop for the day.

  • Concrete supplied for new safety fencing along the railway
  • Worked overnight so there was no disruption to trains
  • Equipment moved through the station to the trackside
  • Out-of-hours and night pours to keep critical sites running

Basement floors

Pumping the basement floors at Victoria Mill

A nice pump job to start the week — down into the basement of Victoria Mill, a landmark red-brick mill, to lay all the floors. A basement is exactly where a concrete pump earns its keep: there’s no getting a wagon down there, and barrowing it in would take all day.

So we ran the pump line straight in and fed the concrete down into the basement, where our laying team spread it out and worked it level across every floor. Mixed fresh on site and pumped in — clean and quick.

Pumping placed the concrete exactly where it was needed, floor by floor, with none of the mess or graft of barrowing it through the building.

  • Concrete pumped in for all the floors in the basement of Victoria Mill
  • A basement no wagon could reach — the pump line run straight in
  • Our laying team spread and levelled the concrete across every floor
  • Mixed fresh on site and pumped straight down — no barrowing through the building
  • One-stop service — delivered and pumped by Barrow Mix

Concrete pumping in Manchester — FAQs

Do you pump concrete in Manchester?

Yes — we supply and pump concrete across Manchester and Greater Manchester, into basements, over railway tracks and into tight city-centre sites a wagon chute can’t reach, mixing fresh on site with our volumetric wagons. See our concrete pumping service.

Do you do night-time and out-of-hours concrete pours?

Yes — we regularly work nights and weekends for sites that can’t stop during the day, like this railway job at Manchester Victoria where the pour had to happen overnight to avoid disrupting trains.

Can you pump concrete into a basement?

Yes – on the job at Victoria Mill we pumped the concrete straight down into the basement to lay all the floors. Pumping is ideal for basements and cellars a wagon simply can’t reach.

Can you supply concrete for rail and infrastructure projects?

Yes — we supply concrete for railway, civil and infrastructure work, including foundations for safety fencing and structures, across Manchester and the North West.

Can you work on restricted-access or live sites?

Yes — we plan deliveries around site constraints, possessions and access, and can move equipment in by hand where vehicles can’t reach. Tell us the constraints and we’ll work to them.
