This one was booked in early on a Sunday morning, out of hours — deliberately, so that two concrete wagons and the pump could get in, set up and pour a large base without holding up the traffic on a busy route. Early doors on a Sunday, the roads are quiet and the job runs clean.
We ran two volumetric wagons plus the pump so there was no waiting on concrete mid-pour, mixed everything fresh on site, and placed it straight into the base by pump. In and done before the area had properly woken up.

15m³ pumped in for a full set of house floors
On another Bolton job we supplied 15m³ of concrete for all the floors in a house — and pumped it in. Pumping meant we could feed the concrete right through the property to reach every room, rather than barrowing load after load through a building. Our lads helped lay and level it off, floor by floor, for a clean, flat finish ready for the next trade.

Why pump the concrete instead of barrowing it?
Because a pump reaches where a wagon chute can’t — through a building to every room, over walls, into back gardens and tight sites — and it’s far quicker and cleaner than barrowing load after load. For the house floors above, we pumped straight through the property.
What’s the advantage of volumetric concrete?
It’s mixed fresh on site as it’s poured, so it’s always workable and you only pay for exactly what you use — no part-load waste. Running two wagons also means there’s no gap in supply mid-pour. More on volumetric concrete.
