A Concrete Bin Store Base at Krispy Kreme, Trafford Park

Trafford Park, Manchester

When Krispy Kreme needed a solid base for the waste bins at their Trafford Park site in Manchester, they called Barrow Mix. We supplied and laid the concrete for a new bin store base inside the timber-fenced enclosure — a hard-wearing slab to take the weight of the commercial waste bins and keep the area clean, level and easy to wheel bins on and off.

It’s a simple but important commercial job. A proper concrete base stops bins sinking into the ground, makes the bin store easy to keep clean and hygienic, and gives a tidy, professional finish. We mixed the concrete fresh on site with our volumetric wagon, poured it into the prepared area and tamped it off to a brushed, non-slip finish.

No job is too big or too small for Barrow Mix — from house floors to commercial bases for some of the best-known names around. (And we won’t say no to a box of doughnuts on the way out.)

Commercial bin store bases — FAQs

Can you supply concrete for a bin store base?

Yes — commercial bin store bases are a job we do regularly, along with yard slabs, machine bases and other hard-standing. We mix volumetrically on site so the concrete is batched to the right strength and poured straight into the prepared area, then tamped off to a tidy, non-slip finish.

Why do you need a concrete base for waste bins?

A solid base stops heavy, loaded bins sinking into the ground, keeps the bin store clean and hygienic, makes it easy to wheel bins on and off, and gives a neat, professional finish. For commercial premises it’s often part of meeting waste-storage and cleanliness standards.
